Let's talk well-being and self care

Well-being has always been so important to us, but the end of 2021 and start of 2022 has personally been our hardest so far.

We have had a really rocky road, since covid hit our life has been much more tricky, juggling work commitments, a baby, increasing bills, re-arranging weddings, but roll on to the end of last year and the beginning of this year, and my little families life has been turned upside down. Both my dad, who is one of the most important man in my life and my amazing sister in law have both been diagnosed with cancer, it's been a real kick in the face for us, to watch two people going through Chemo, and the ups and downs that go along with cancer is truly heart breaking.

Then taking a step back, looking at my mum and siblings, my brother in law and his family, things get harder and you realise just how many lives are affected by this illness.

Roll on again 3 months and I take a step back to attempt to look at myself, and I crumb, My mind and body goes into crisis mode, as I realise that I have been so consumed with being there for my dad, taking him to his appointments and my family that I have left myself behind, slowly cracking, until I broke.

I have now been trying to work on my self care, as this has been absolutely none existent, but I have really realised just how important taking 10 minutes a day is to truly help....

Enter my Well-being range....

I have these candle's, wax melts and reed diffusers all sat in my home studio and not once have I thought....I am going to have a bath tonight or reed a book and have one of these close by filling a room with scents to help my emotions.

How important is well-being and self care to you? Do you take time out for you?

We have 6 scents for our well-being range:

Citrus scents have been proven to boost your bodies production of serotonin a happy hormone.

Of course this is lavender, but we have chosen French lavender, it is most popular to help promote sleep, but also has calming, relaxing and comforting properties.

Chamomile has been proven to have a range of benefits including reducing anxiousness and promoting sleep.

Peppermint and Eucalyptus both have healing properties which are great for headaches, colds, sinus infections and also help to stimulate the senses, they are also know to help relieve stress and improve mental function.

Frankincense has a huge range of benefits, but the ones we are focusing on are the benefits it offered to help soothe the mind, boost your energy and promote rejuvenation and healing.

Happy: (Our newest addition) Grapefruit is especially beneficial for helping to rebalance, helps to uplift mood, reduce stress and promote the happy hormones.

I do hope you find some time for self-care, please feel free to share in the comments what your routine is or which of our well-being scents would be your pick.
